You can reach the island by sea or air. Brac has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. The closest international airports to Brac are the ones in Split, Zadar, and Dubrovnik, with many low-cost companies flying there. There are regular bus lines between the airports and city centers, and from there, you can continue to Brac by ferry, catamaran, or private taxi boats.

Although there are different options available for a trip to the island, we will concentrate on those that we think are best for tourists staying in the Makarska Riviera. Those excursion boats that depart from the port of Makarska in the morning are certainly the best way for a one day trip, but you can explore the island of Brac by yourself, too! If you want to travel by car or motorbike, choose a ferry. There are two ferry lines and one catamaran line connecting Brac with the land.
